    Of the Satocho stores that were all closed, the Hirakawa Onoe store (Onoe, Hirakawa City) and the Kanagi store (Kanekicho, Goshogawara City) opened on October 24th under Trial Holdings (Fukuoka Prefecture). has been restarted.

    "Satocho" is a supermarket located in the Tsugaru region. All 24 stores closed on the 20th due to the bankruptcy of the operating company "Satocho" (4 Kikyono, Hirosaki City). The business of Satocho was taken over by Trial Holdings and its subsidiary company Aomori Trial. "Trial" is a Kyushu-based supermarket with 285 stores nationwide (as of the end of June 2023). The company announced that it would gradually resume operations at Old Satocho from the 24th.

    Of the 18 stores that have been taken over, 15 of the former Satocho stores in the Tsugaru region are currently announcing their reopening. The three stores in Mutsu were not mentioned in this announcement, but they are said to be planning to reopen soon. Regarding the six stores that were not transferred, including Kikuten, the reason was management decisions.

    The stores that will resume operations are as follows.

    Daisuke Noda, Director of the Trial Marketing Department, said, ``We have prioritized resuming operations as soon as possible, so we will continue to install signboards and interior decorations while the building is open. I want to do that,” he says.

    According to Manager Noda, the store will continue to purchase from local sources, but will improve its product lineup by incorporating customer feedback.

    A man in his 40s who visited the Hirakawa Onoe store said, ``I'm glad it reopened so quickly. It was a relief.'' A woman in her 30s who had finished shopping said with a smile, ``The inside of the store was mostly the same, but I felt that the items on sale were clean.''
