Hirosaki's bar "Oshiyare Snack Mansikka" (Shinkajicho, Hirosaki City) will hold an event to commemorate its 10th anniversary on October 15th.

The same bar where you can listen to music on analog records. It is run by the owner who calls himself the ``Strawberry Fairy'' and is affectionately known as ``Chappie'' (name not disclosed). "Mansikka" means strawberry in Finnish.

Chappie opened the bar on December 3, 2013, as a bar where you can read books, based on his experience working at a bookstore in Hirosaki. Initially, bookshelves were installed and books were placed there, but the bookshelves were removed because there were not many people reading them. I started playing music.

At first, they played music on CDs, but then they started playing records, and they began to pay more attention to their acoustics, including installing tallboy speakers and vacuum tube amplifiers. Nowadays, there are more records than CDs, and the songs to be played are selected based on the customer's mood. ``I like the act of changing records and flipping them over,'' says Chappie.

Looking back on the past 10 years, Chappie says, ``The past 10 years have gone by in the blink of an eye. Even though all I can do is uncork beer, I can continue to do so thanks to everyone.'' One regular customer smiles and says, ``Even if I'm having a bad day, if I meet Chappie, I can sleep soundly. He's like an idol.I want to come every day.''

The 10th anniversary event will be held on October 15th, the day when "10" and strawberry "15" are combined. It will be held at the event studio "THE MEATO" (Kitakawabata Town), and he will DJ using analog records with seven regular customers of the store. According to Chappie, this is the first anniversary event for the store, and it was originally scheduled to be held for the 15th anniversary, but they decided to hold it for the 10th anniversary after a customer recommended it. ``I want it to be a party where people can enjoy toasting while listening to music,'' says Chappie.

Regarding the future, Chappie says, ``I want to do my best to continue as a strawberry fairy until the 15th anniversary.''

The event will be held from 3:00pm to 9:00pm. Admission fee is 1,500 yen (one drink fee included).
