One month has passed since we started selling the ``Castle Seal'' of Yukawa Castle at ``Genkicho Aburakawa Product Center Tomatoria'' (Hashiro, Aomori City, TEL 017-787-2959 ) in the Aburawa Civic Center.

Castle stamps are souvenirs highlighting castles across the country, and are sold at castles and tourist information centers near castles. Many enthusiasts purchase them in a variety of designs, including ones with castle names or family crests, or motifs related to the area.

It is said that in the Aburakawa district of Aomori City, during the Sengoku period, there was Aburakawa Castle, whose lord was Okuse Hankuro. Shigeto Kiyokawa, dean of the Faculty of Sociology at Aomori University, who supervised the castle seal for Aburayawa Castle, says, ``Abukawa is a place with a lot of history, and there are many people who like the history of Aburawa.I hope it will be an opportunity to revitalize the area.'' .

The design features a family crest and a sailing ship. ``Aburakawa had a port, and it is thought that maritime trade was active there, so we advised them to bring in ships,'' Kiyokawa said. Two types of castle seals are available, and the price is 700 yen for a set of two.

It's been a month since it went on sale, and most of the buyers are in their 30s and 40s. A man in his 60s from Hirosaki who came to Tomatoria, a local product store, said with a smile, ``I researched it on the Internet and came here to buy it.I like castles, so I collect them.''

Kiyokawa says, ``Aburakawa has a history that even the locals don't know about.Although Aburayawa Castle itself no longer exists, we hope to use the castle seal as a hook to spread the interest of the Sengoku period and history to many people in the prefecture and beyond. "I hope I can do that," he said enthusiastically.

Gojo seal sales hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Closed on Sundays and holidays.
