"Aomori Sauna Festival" will be held on September 9th and 10th at Aomori City Moya Hills (Aomori City Unoya Rinoki).

Sauna cars, sauna trailers, and tent saunas will gather from inside and outside Aomori Prefecture, and a food court will be set up where you can enjoy "Sa-meshi" after the sauna. Based on the concept of "transmitting the charm of Aomori through saunas", it is organized by Aomori saunas (sauna enthusiasts) and sauna operators.

At the venue, there will be a food area with free admission and a paid sauna area that can be used with advance reservations. In the food area, Aomori craft beer, freshwater clam cuisine, and southern cuisine will be available. Sauna use is 2 hours = 3,700 yen. We will make it possible for you to experience a sauna unique to Aomori, such as Aomori hiba roryu, Aomori-born sauna stove, and apple water bath.

Miki Tomioka, who is in charge of public relations for the executive committee, said, ``The venue is at the foot of Hakkoda. It is said that the background of the event was the cooperation of friends in Aomori who were connected through Mr. Tomioka's activities.

Mr. Tomioka is a company employee in Tokyo and last year launched UNITED AOMORI, a business trip sauna in his hometown of Aomori. “I came back to Aomori for the first time in 18 years because I was able to live in two locations due to the corona crisis,” says Tomioka. It was behind the fact that the number of friends and collaborators in Aomori increased while holding events with sauna cars.

"After participating in a sauna event outside the prefecture, I thought that I could hold a sauna event in Aomori, but I couldn't do it by myself. 'Aomori no Ono', a comedian who stays in a camper and is also active as a YouTuber. I was able to hold the event thanks to the invitation from Mr. Tomioka and the presence of my friends in Aomori."

Mr. Tomioka, who calls himself a sauna, said, "At first, I tried a sauna because it was recommended to me, but by 'getting in shape', I was able to clear my head and relieve stress.
