At Hirosaki Park (Shimo-Shirogane-cho, Hirosaki City), the statue of Kinjiro Ninomiya is currently dressed as a festival figure to promote the Hirosaki Neputa Festival.

According to the person in charge of the Parks and Green Space Division, every year around the time the Hirosaki Neputa Matsuri begins, they wear festival costumes, and this year they are decorated more than usual. "The Hirosaki Neputa Festival will be held this year, just like before the coronavirus pandemic. Kinjiro Ninomiya may not be in a position to study," said the person in charge.

The festival costumes will last until August 7, when the Hirosaki Neputa Festival ends.
