On September 3rd, the art and festival collaboration event "AOMORI Rakuichi Rakuza" will be held at Uto Shrine in Aomori (2 Yasukata, Aomori City).

This event started in 2011 with the aim of promoting Aomori's central shopping district and passing on its history and culture. From daytime to nighttime, the shrine precincts transform into an extraordinary space with ladder riding that inherits the traditional Edo firefighting technique, Tengu's wandering, Nebuta music, plays, and ghost stories. It will be the first time in three years that the real event will be held with pilgrims.

Hideki Fukuhara, chairman of the executive committee, said, "The concept is to make people feel the fun of life through interaction with the 'third adults.'" “When I was a child, when I went to visit a shrine after school, I would be surrounded by ‘third adults’ who were not parents or teachers and taught me various things. There were some people who didn't have it, but they taught me the strength and fun of surviving life.In a good way, we have prepared a lot of content by collecting "weird adults", so children today can experience it. I want it," he said with a smile.

This year's theme is "Art". Entitled "Gallery Miko Cafe", it is designed to allow visitors to come into contact with art during their cafe time. In addition to Shiko Munakata, a representative printmaker from Aomori Prefecture, Shoji Hashimoto, Kouko Kakizaki, and other artists from Aomori Prefecture and related to Aomori. In addition to collecting and exhibiting art works by , we will prepare a fashion show that combines “Kimono x Ikebana x Hair Arrangement” and a sugar painting performance using colorful sugar. Mr. Fukuhara also appeared in the shadow play team "Mamaz".

In addition to setting up hands-on workshop booths that children can enjoy such as crayfish fishing, watermelon splitting, and mask making, “Okome Cafe & Bar Komeb (Baby)” offers rice balls made with Aomori’s special A rice “Seiten no Hekireki”. and Goto Shokudo, a long-established yakisoba restaurant, offer food unique to Aomori.

Fukuhara says, "It will be a place where people of all generations can spend time together. I would like everyone in the family to come and have fun."

The event is held from 11:00 to 20:30. free entrance.
