Aomori Nebuta Festival is one of the representative summer festivals of Tohoku, held from August 2nd to 7th. This year was the first time in three years. On the 7th, the final day of the festival, the Aomori Fireworks Festival will be held at Aomori Port after the daytime operation, and the festival will conclude with the Nebuta floating on the sea.

According to the Aomori Nebuta Festival Executive Committee, this year's turnout is 1.05 million (from the 2nd to the 7th at noon). Four Nebuta floats participated in the maritime operation, and the Aomori Nebuta 's "Ryuo" (created by Hirohisa Takenami), which was selected for the "Nebuta Grand Prize", the highest award of Aomori Nebuta, decorated the finale of the Aomori Nebuta Festival. .
