    At the Tashirodaira Wetlands at the foot of Mt. Hakkoda, cotton grass and day lilies, which are typical features of early summer highlands, are in full bloom.

    The Tashirodaira Wetland, located northeast of Mt. Hakkoda, is a wetland that was created by the eruption of Mt. Hakkoda about two million years ago. Abundant alpine plants and wetland plants grow here, and the ``Tashirodaira Wetland Plant Community'' has been designated as a natural monument of Aomori City.

    There is a 1.6-kilometer hiking course with wooden sidewalks, consisting of three routes: the northern route (568 meters), the central route (560 meters), and the southern route (440 meters), with five rest stops along the central route. place is provided. You can enjoy walking for about an hour while listening to the chirping of birds and insects, and you can enter the mountain freely from spring to autumn, so families and hikers from all over the prefecture come in search of nature.
