"Shinji Ono Soccer Class" will be held on November 20th at the Hirosaki Sports Park Athletics Stadium (Toyoda, Hirosaki City).

Former Japanese national soccer player Shinji Ono was invited as a lecturer, and Daihachi Okamura of Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo and Ryoma Watanabe of FC Tokyo were invited to this event for elementary school students. Ono's soccer class is the second time after last year.

At the 1998 World Cup in France, Ono became the youngest player to represent Japan at the time, and then moved to Feyenoord in the first division of the Netherlands in 2001. He has played seven times in international competitions sponsored by the European Football Federation. He currently plays for Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo.

According to Mr. Yoshifumi Kurobe of the Hirosaki J Sports Project, which hosts the event, he met Mr. Ono by chance, and in 2019, he met Mr. Ono through an acquaintance's introduction in Okinawa, where he was on a business trip. “We hit it off and planned a soccer class in Hirosaki,” says Kurobe. Looking back on last year's soccer class, Mr. Kurobe said, "I could see that the children were drawn to Mr. Ono's charm."

The classroom will open twice. The morning session from 9:00 to 11:00 is for 1st to 3rd grade elementary school students, and the afternoon session from 12:00 to 14:00 is for 4th to 6th grade elementary school students. Up to 40 people each time. Free to join. Applications will be accepted by mail and a special form. It is open to the public on the day of the tour, but if it rains, the location will be changed and no tours will be accepted.

Mr. Kurobe said, "Mr. Ono has a wonderful personality and is a first-class professional player. You can see Mr. Ono's world-class techniques in online videos, but I would like children to experience the real game." call.

The application deadline is November 10th (if there are many applications, a lottery will be held).
