The rice ball cafe "Farm36" will open on October 13th at the "Asunaro Lounge" on the 1st floor of the "Sakurano Department Store Hirosaki Store" (Hirosaki Castle Tohoku).

This restaurant offers brown rice with rice bran and ingredients that do not use preservatives or chemical seasonings. In March, the "Asunaro Lounge" had space for four stores in a food hall that had been renovated on the site of a large water tank, but three stores continued to operate. The store in the remaining space will be a sister store of "Cafe36 (Cafe Michiru)" (Wolf Forest).

“I was thinking about opening a second Cafe Michiru restaurant that uses less and no pesticides and is health-conscious,” says Sakiko Mikami, the store manager. Mr. Mikami worked at an apparel store in the Sakurano Hirosaki store, so when he consulted with his former boss about a vacant store in the Asunaro Lounge, he learned that he could open a store. I decided to open a rice ball shop because my children would eat it even if it contained ingredients I didn't like.

The brown rice used for the rice balls is procured from Agreen Heart (Kuroishi City), which is involved in rice farming using the “Takuron-style natural farming method”. For the pickles, I use brown rice salt koji from Fermented Beauty Association (Joto Chuo, Hirosaki City).

The rice balls are salt knot (180 yen) using Kochi's sun-dried salt "Tosa no Shiomaru", plum, green pepper nanban miso (all above 220 yen), gapao (390 yen), apple scallop (480 yen). Such. There is also a “rice ball plate” (1,000 yen) that comes with two rice balls and fried soy meat.

For curry, Cafe Michiru's monthly spice curry "curry of the month" (1,000 yen) is offered. Miso soup (180 yen), apple rod (520 yen), carrot cake, and homemade fruit soda (580 yen) are also available.

Mr. Mikami said, "There may be an image that natural foods are not casual, but I would like to offer menus that people can eat casually, such as lunch with their families or at work."

Business hours are from 10:00 to 20:00. Closed on the same days as Sakurano Department Store Hirosaki.
