Yui Asakura, an actor from Hirosaki, will participate in the joint operation of the Hirosaki Neputa Festival on August 5th.

Mr. Asakura was born in Hirosaki and moved to Tokyo to attend university. After working as an idol, last year, she appeared in "Kamen Rider Revise" and became a hot topic when she played the villain Queen Aguilera.

Mr. Asakura, who visited Hirosaki City Hall in the morning of the same day, paid a courtesy call to Hirosaki Mayor Hirosaki Sakurada. "It's been a long time since I've been in the Hirosaki Neputa Festival since I was a junior high school student. It's an honor to be able to participate in the 300th anniversary of the Neputa Festival, and I want to make it more exciting," he said.

Asakura participates in the operation of the Neputa group "Hirosaki City Hall Neputa Executive Committee".
