"Yakitori Mikami" (TEL 0172-36-5415 ) opened on July 22 in the Hirosaki market "Niji no Mart" (Ekimae-cho, Hirosaki City).

The store operated by Mikami Foods (Jonan). It sells yakitori, delicatessen, and meat. Mikami Foods currently has three yakitori restaurants in Hirosaki, and is also engaged in meat processing wholesale to supermarkets and school cafeteria management.

In January of this year, the Karouji Butcher Shop, which had been running for more than 60 years, closed at Niji no Mart, and there was no butcher shop. Masatoshi Mikami, the president of Mikami Foods, said, "I was worried at the beginning when I was asked, but I decided to open a store because it was worth the challenge to open a store in the market."

On the same day, which was the first day of the opening, 1000 yakitori were sold out. "It was more than I expected. I hope it will take root in selling products and prices that take advantage of the strengths of meat wholesale," says Mikami.

The product lineup includes eight types of yakitori (110 yen each) such as "Hinahide" and "Munesei meat" that mainly use chicken from Aomori prefecture, as well as "Chicken wings" (130 yen) and Tonkatsu (130 yen). 320 yen), fried chicken (6 pieces = 400 yen), daily bowl (500 yen), etc. It sells meat from the prefecture such as Hasegawa Nature Farm (Ajigasawa Town) and Takko beef.

Mr. Mikami says, "I want to increase the number of products, not just yakitori, and provide a menu that makes me happy every day." "If we can increase the number of stores to 2 or 3 with the same store's business style," he said.

Business hours are from 8:00 to 18:00. Closed on Sundays.
