On June 10th, the product brand "Sugomono JAPN" announced the completion of "Aomori Kogin-zashi x Shakoki Dogoku Souvenir Jacket (Sukajan)".

The brand aims to commercialize souvenirs that use traditional culture and new perspectives and techniques as "great things". The "Kiryu Jumper Research Institute" and the "Kiryu Souvenir Association", which carry out activities to preserve Sukajan culture under the name of "47 prefectures nationwide local souvenir jacket (Sukajan) project", will cooperate.

Regarding the reason for choosing Aomori as the first project, Mr. Satoshi Torigoe, the creative director who is in charge of product planning and movie PR, said, I chose Tsugaru Kogin Sashimi from Aomori's crafts because I wanted to collaborate with Aomori's crafts. "

Tsugaru Kogin-zashi is a traditional embroidery technique that has been handed down in the Tsugaru region and features a basic pattern called "modoko". Mr. Torigoe asked Hirosaki's Kogin-zashi "Kogin-ya Sashibo" and "cogin + T" to stab Tsugaru Kogin. Kinuko Kinuta, who presides over "cogin + T," said, "When I saw the original sketch of Sukajan, I thought that the design picture of Gaikotsu could be expressed by Neputa, so I decided to ask Neputa."

Yudai Nomura, a Neputa artist who was in charge of the design painting, said, "When I received the request, I had a question mark in my head, so I decided to accept it. Speaking of Neputa painting, there are various kinds of peony and peony. The combination may have created a unique atmosphere. "

Sukajan is reversible, and based on the skeleton and peony drawn by Mr. Nomura, "Kogin-ya Sashibo" and "cogin + T" are embroidered with Kogin-zashi on the A side, and the shako-ki-dogu is made of rayon satin made by Kiryu. The B side designed in is eye-catching. Mr. Sashibo says, "I hope you will be interested in Tsugaru Kogin-zashi, Neputa painting, and Jomon at the entrance of Sukajan."

Mr. Torigoe is enthusiastic that he wants to send out to the world with the concept of souvenirs that combine traditional culture from each region with new perspectives.

According to Mr. Torigoe, the completed Sukajan will be exhibited in Aomori Prefecture and Tokyo, and then made to order and sold.
