    The official support character for the Hirosaki Cherry Blossom Festival, "Sakura Miku," is currently being campaigned in various parts of Hirosaki City.

    "Sakura Miku" is developed as an ambassador for the Hirosaki Cherry Blossom Festival. A character with a cherry blossom motif derived from female virtual singer Hatsune Miku, this is the fourth collaboration this year.

    Ekidote Promenade, Dotemachi Dori, and Hyakkokumachi Dori from the Hirosaki station square are currently equipped with a welcome flag for "Sakura Miku". In addition to a large welcome board at the central exit of Hirosaki Station, an illustration of "Sakura Miku" was installed on the automatic door. At Hirosaki Park, large panels for 2019 have been re-installed in four locations. Two places were set up outside the park.

    At the stamp rally that started on April 15, Sakura Miku's "Hirosaki Cherry Blossom Festival Poster" will be presented to those who have visited four or more stamp installation locations in six facilities in the city. According to Mr. Daigo Shirato of the Hirosaki Tourism Convention Association, we heard that there were participants mainly from the local area from the first day, and that they were traveling for children who could not return home.

    From April 20th, character goods have been sold at 7 facilities in the city. In the form of pre-sale, online sales will be available from May 9th. Some products such as happi coats and bags could not be made in time due to transportation problems caused by the new coronavirus, but all products became available for sale from the 22nd.

    The Hirosaki City Green Association began selling the Hirosaki Castle "Tojo Memorial Mark" in collaboration with Sakura Miku on April 20th. This is a "castle memorial sign" illustrated by iXima and Maou, and is only available at the Hirosaki Information Center in Hirosaki Park. When purchasing, stamp the date stamp. 500 yen per sheet. Until May 5th, sales hours are from 9:00 to 20:00.

    To commemorate the 90th anniversary of the founding of the business, the Hirosaki City Water and Sewerage Department will distribute PET bottle water designed for "Sakura Miku" free of charge on April 23 and 24. The place is Hirosaki Civic Central Square (Mototeramachi, Hirosaki City) from 10 o'clock on both days. A total of 6000 bottles will be distributed, 3000 bottles a day, and will end as soon as they run out. At the venue, a QR code reading type questionnaire will be invited to participate.

    Participating stores in the central shopping district of Hirosaki City will receive an original "Sakura Miku" ticket holder for purchases of 700 yen or more. From April 23rd.
