On March 25, the Hirosaki Tourism and Convention Bureau (Shimoshiroganecho, Hirosaki City) announced the contents of a collaboration with the official support character "Sakura Miku" of the Hirosaki Cherry Blossom Festival.

Sakura Miku is a character derived from the virtual singer "Hatsune Miku". Since the Sakura Festival in 2019 (Heisei 31), he has been appointed as an official support character for four consecutive years. Initially, the term was two years, but it was decided to continue with the thoughts of fans and people in Hirosaki.

This year's main visual is "Japan's oldest Yoshino cherry tree" and Sakura Miku dancing against the backdrop of the East Inner Gate. The illustrator is "iXima" for 4 consecutive years. There are three types of sub-visuals, and Sakura Miku drawn by "Sakana Hen" is set in "Former Hirosaki Kaikousha" (Miyukicho). "Maou" is on a boat in Nishibori, and "Yopio" is in the background of the Western-style building in the Fujita Memorial Garden (Kamishiroganecho).

Collaboration with local companies develops products using illustrations. Kudo Bread (Aomori City) sells British toast, Tamura Farm (Hirosaki City) sells apple juice, and Hirosaki Post Office (Hirosaki City) sells frame stamps. Collaboration products will be announced in the future.

In addition, an illustration will be posted in the April 1 issue of "Public Relations Hirosaki" in Hirosaki City. A flag with illustrations will be set up in the central shopping district, and Sakura Miku's illustrations will also be used for the tourist guide map with stamp rally.

Daigo Shirato, the secretary general of the Hirosaki Tourism Convention Association, said, "We are planning to hold the Hirosaki Cherry Blossom Festival while taking measures to prevent infection. We would like to work with Sakura Miku to make the festival more exciting."

The Hirosaki Cherry Blossom Festival is from April 23rd to May 5th.
