Hirosaki City Park Greenery Division (Shimoshiroganecho, Hirosaki City) announced on March 25 that the cherry blossoms in Hirosaki Park are expected to bloom on April 19.

The first announcement of this season of the section that manages the cherry blossoms in Hirosaki Park is that the standard tree of Yoshino cherry tree in the park will bloom on April 19. It is expected to be April 18th in Sotobori and April 20th in the cherry blossom tunnel, and the forecast date for full bloom is set to April 23rd to 25th.

According to the department's announcement, temperatures have been lower than normal for the past week, but will be higher for the next month. The cherry blossoms in the garden are affected by the temperature in March and April, so this year's flowering is said to be three days earlier than normal.

Yuji Ebina, a tree doctor in the department, said, "Three pine trees in the park fell down due to heavy snow this year in Hirosaki, but the cherry trees are not affected."

The next flowering forecast announcement date for the city is April 1. The Hirosaki Cherry Blossom Festival is scheduled to be held from April 23rd to May 5th.
