A baked confectionery shop "otomo" (Fujisaki Town, Aomori Prefecture, TEL 050-3623-3337 ) opened near Fujisaki Station on January 11th.

It sells sweets, mainly baked goods such as pound cakes, rusks, and puddings. The owner, Yuri Kimura, says, "I named the store to mean" to accompany "gifts and anniversary gifts."

Mr. Kimura was born in Fujisaki and raised in Fujisaki. It is said that he had announced his dream "I want to have my own shop" in the graduation collection of elementary school students. "I hadn't decided what I wanted to do," says Kimura. After graduating from high school, he loved cooking, so he entered the life section of Shibata Gakuen University Junior College (former Tohoku Women's Junior College). While working at a restaurant in Hirosaki, he was absorbed in making baked goods.

Self-taught making baked goods. The recipes for handwritten notes are well over 100. The amount of material is finely adjusted one by one, and the method of making is left in detail.

"We had decided to open a store in Fujisaki," says Kimura. "I like my hometown Fujisaki," he smiles. I asked my father, a plasterer, to renovate the store. I like the moss green color on the wall, and the signboard is handwritten. The photos of the stores and products were taken by a friend who loves cameras. I am grateful that I was able to open the store because of the help of my best friends and others who helped open the store.

The menu includes pound cake (250 yen for each type), fruit sandwich (380 yen), cheesecake (280 yen) and pudding (330 yen). Whole cakes (No. 5 = 3,500 yen ~, No. 6 = 4,000 yen ~) require reservations. Currently, only take-out business is available.

It is said that it has been doing well for a week since it opened and the days of sold out and closing have continued. Mr. Kimura said, "It's still open with excitement. There are many visits and I'm just grateful. Since I'm doing it alone, there is a limit to the production volume, but it's a store that can meet everyone's requests little by little. I want to do it. " "I want to try opening an event when Corona calms down," he said.

Business hours are weekdays = 11:00 to 18:00, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays = 10:30 to 17:00 (these will end as soon as the products are sold out).
