On December 8th, Aomori's video traveler "Yuki to Manager" announced the sale of the "Torii Oniko" figure.

"Torii Oniko" is a statue of a demon installed in the torii of a shrine in the Tsugaru area. According to "Yuki and the manager," there are about 50 shrines in the Tsugaru area that have "demon ko (in Tsugaru dialect, the noun is" ko "to add familiarity)."

"Yuki and the manager" said, "The origin is unknown even if you ask the priests of the shrine, and you don't even know who made it. In Tsugaru, demons are often regarded as good creatures, and demons are often seen at shrines along the river. Because there are many, it may have been installed as a guardian deity from flood damage. "

"Yuki and the manager" who started to introduce "Torii no Oniko" on Twitter and YouTube from 2015 (Heisei 27), focusing on "Torii no Oniko" which is only in the Tsugaru region in Japan. The figure project said, "I started to see the state of the shrines that are disappearing and the demons that are severely damaged, and I think it is necessary to pass them on to future generations."

Currently, we have prepared 3D data of about 50 demons. Each data is created by visiting the site and stitching together 30 to 40 photographs taken at 360 degrees. The material used for the figure is resin and all 6 colors. Items made with a 3D printer are polished and shaped one by one with a file.

The figures will be sold online after being sold at an event at the Spiral Hall in "Nakasan Hirosaki Store" (Dotemachi, Hirosaki City) from December 21st to 28th. Dozens of figures that have already obtained the permission of the priest will be in this lineup, and in the future we will commercialize the ones that have obtained permission at any time.

"Some people were pleased to show what they had made to the priests and wanted it. Local shrines are particularly weathering. I hope that the existence of demons will spread even a little." Yuki and the manager. "A part of the sales will be used for regional promotion. We are already building a mechanism for it."

The selling price is from 5,500 yen for large and 1,500 yen for small.
