The supermarket "Itoku Hirosaki Higashi Store" (Suehiro, Hirosaki City, TEL 0172-55-0313) opened on November 26th.

The store, which is operated by Itoku, which was founded in 1899 (Meiji 32) and is headquartered in Odate City, Akita Prefecture, is the sixth store in Aomori Prefecture and the 28th store in Akita Prefecture and two prefectures. The sales floor area is 628 tsubo, which is the second largest in Aomori prefecture after the Hamamachi store. The number of parking lots is 150. Yasumi Kamada, the head of the Tsugaru district, said, "This is the first time we have opened a store in Corona. We aim to create a store with an eye on with Corona."

A self-checkout will be introduced in the store, and three types will be installed, including a card payment type and a type in which the staff acts as a proxy for reading barcodes. Initially, an eat-in corner was planned to be set up, but it was made into a waiting room as a lounge. The table is equipped with an outlet and a USB power supply port.

The store has hired 150 partners to open this time. Pizza in the bakery department is baked in the store using a pizza kiln. The iron plate division sells omelet rolls and okonomiyaki. The fresh fish department prepares 20 kinds of fresh fish landed every day from the coastal waters to Kyushu, as well as nigiri sushi and sashimi. “Our strength is to cook everything in the store,” says Kamada.

Currently, as an opening project, a 4-liter water-drawing bottle (700 yen) is being presented free of charge to new members of the Itoku point card "Kojika". The introduction of a water dispenser is said to be the first attempt at all stores. The store sells four types of water, including "pure water" (free of charge) and soft water mineral premium perfume (4 liters = 80 yen and up).

Mr. Kamada is enthusiastic, "I want to create a store that is chosen by the local people by selling an abundant lineup that can offer various options."

Business hours are from 9:00 to 23:00.
