    "Jomon Pilgrimage 2021" will be held on November 21st at the Tsuruta Town History and Culture Tradition Center in Tsuruta, Kitatsugaru District, Aomori.

    The event celebrates the registration of the "Hokkaido / Northeastern Jomon Sites" as a World Cultural Heritage site in July this year. Organized by the Jomon Tomo no Kai, a gathering of Jomon lovers. The chairman is writer Randy Taguchi. The vice chairman is Aomori columnist Yamada Switch. This is the first event hosted by the association in nine years.

    At the venue, 19 photographs centered on the Ishigami site (Tsugaru City) by Hiromae photographer Yasuo Katayama and 10 paintings such as moxibustion paintings by artist Sakai will be exhibited, as well as hat writer Ayaka Nakamura. There will be a workshop where the cloth of the lion dance is joined by patchwork, and a moxibustion pottery moxibustion experience will be held by putting moxa in the Jomon pottery made in the shape of moxibustion.

    From 14:00, Aomori butoh dancer Yukiko, Tsugaru shamisen player Kenichi Nagamine, and Kagura drum player Yuji Ishizaka will perform a butoh dance that expresses their inspiration from the Jomon archaeological site. The dance of "Kotatsu lion" wearing a kotatsu futon will also participate, and it is said that contemporary art and lion dance will be fused.

    A talk event "Jomon Narrative" will be held from around 15:10 after the performance. In addition to Mr. Yamada Switch, Mr. Nobuyuki Sugihara of the NPO "Primitive Sensation Building" who has built a pit-house, and Mr. Masayuki Kuroda, a landscape architect and contemporary artist, talk about the theme of Jomon love.

There are various impressions such as Butoh that invites you to a fantastic world and the world of Jomon painting and photography. I would like to celebrate with you the Jomon ruins of Aomori, which has been registered as a World Heritage Site. "

    Open at 10 o'clock. The holding time is from 10:00 to 16:20. Admission is 2,000 yen for adults, 1,500 yen for students, and free for junior high school students and younger.
