"Curry & Cafe Siesta" (TEL 090-2709-5018 ) opened in Ishikawa, Hirosaki City on September 16th.

The store name "Siesta" means "nap" or "lunch time" in Spanish, and the concept is "to provide a cozy space". We opened a store in the building where the affiliated store of the izakaya "Koumura" (Kawabata, Hirosaki City) was located. It is operated by "Tugboard", which handles "Tsugaru Onoe Onsen Fukuya" (Hirakawa City).

Kiyoto Mizuguchi, the president of "Tagboard", who is in charge of consulting work for Kawamura Meat Shop, which opened in the same building on September 2, focused on the space that was a former coffee shop and utilized an antique atmosphere. I decided to open a cafe. “We aim to create a store that makes you want to use it for a long time,” says Mizuguchi.

The store area is about 90 tsubo. The number of seats is 50. The tables and chairs used in the former coffee shop were used as they were, and Western modern elements such as chandeliers were studded. All the tables in the store are one-of-a-kind items made by craftsmen, and a kids' space has been created so that families can easily use them. Mr. Mizuguchi says, "The large store has good ventilation and wide seating intervals."

The menu includes "Favorite Roux Curry" (1,000 yen), "SIESTA Keema Curry", "Aomori Apple Curry", "European Beef Curry", and "Sun Blessing Tomato Curry" (800 yen). "Children's curry lunch" (300 yen) is also available. Drinks include regular coffee (400 yen), lassi (350 yen), cider (500 yen and up), as well as a set menu. All take out at the same price.

"In the future, we are thinking of collaborating with Kawamura Meat Shop and creating a store that utilizes a large site," says Mizuguchi. Although the store is located in the suburbs of Hirosaki, it is located near Apple Road and National Highway No. 7, so there is a lot of traffic and you can overlook Mt. Iwaki. Mr. Mizuguchi smiles, "I would like to have a barbecue on the spot with the purchased ingredients, create an outdoor event venue, and work on creating a place that makes use of the site and location."

Business hours are from 10:30 to 15:00 (curry is served from 11:00 to 14:00). Closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
