Hirosaki's bar "Popular BAR BASK" (Honcho, Hirosaki City) started a lunch business on September 13th, where you can smoke all over the store.

The store, which is mainly open at night, opened in 2011 (Heisei 23) and moved to its current location in 2017 (Heisei 29). Lunch was open before the move, but it was only open at night during the move. Eriko Takeuchi, the owner of the restaurant, said, "Smoking is commonplace. Smoking space is limited, and we decided to create a daytime place where smokers with narrow shoulders can enjoy smoking with meals."

Originally a clothing store that handled ethnic miscellaneous goods, Takeuchi-san's culinary enthusiasts began to add a dining room, and it has become the current bar. The menu that "I want you to eat full" is a general set meal menu that is offered at the cafeteria. “Smokers can't enjoy eating and smoking as much as a family-friendly dining room. At least we want to offer it at our restaurant,” says Takeuchi.

The menu includes a pork rose fried set meal, fried chicken set meal (700 yen or more), pork kimchi fried set meal, Yurinchi set meal (800 yen or more), stewed hamburger set meal (900 yen), and a weekly menu. Rice and miso soup can be replaced freely, and barley tea and coffee are provided by yourself. In addition to installing a take-out container, it also supports take-out.

"When I started the lunch business, I saw a salaryman enjoying eating and smoking, and it was exactly what I was aiming for," says Takeuchi, smiling. "There may be pros and cons, but I think it would be nice to have a lunch that smokers can enjoy."

Lunch time is from Monday to Friday = 11:30 to 14:00 (closed on Saturdays and Sundays). Night business hours are from 19:00 to 24:00.
