Hirosaki's brewery "Be Easy Brewing" ( Matsugae , Hirosaki, TEL 0172-78-1222) began selling canned beer on August 21st.

The brewery was launched by Gareth Burns, a former US Air Force soldier who now lives in Aomori. Started brewing in 2016 (Heisei 28), about 200 kinds of craft beer are shipped to restaurants in 44 prefectures in 6 brewing tanks, and bottled beer has been sold since May last year in response to the demand for nesting. ..

"We had planned to sell canned beer from the beginning, but due to the influence of the new coronavirus, it was bottled beer that started in a hurry," Gareth said. Before Corona, it was only selling tanks for restaurants, but sales struggled and it created a sales channel for general consumers.

Currently, bottled beer is sold online, as well as at the tap room "Gareth's Hideout" on the second floor of the brewery, Aomori Brew Pub (Yasukata, Aomori City), and liquor stores and supermarkets in Aomori Prefecture. As soon as bottled beer runs out, they will switch to canned beer.

There are two types of canned beer for the first time, "Happy New Beer" brewed in collaboration with Aomori Asahi Broadcasting's 30th anniversary and "GAHEARU" in collaboration with Tokyo's beer pub "CRAFT WORKS" (Hongo, Bunkyo-ku). "Happy New Beer" using wheat from Aomori prefecture was sold out on the first day, but it will be sold in bottles.

Gareth said, "In Japan, cans are easier to pick up. Finally, we are ready and ready to ship. In the future, we will sell three of our standard cans and increase the number of items sold to many people. I want to deliver craft beer from Tsugaru. "

"I would like to take on the challenge of what only a brewery can do, such as making original beer that makes everything from labels to tastes and accepting brewing experiences, by consulting with them about the ingredients and beer styles they want to use."

The price of GAHEARU is 630 yen (350 ml).
