The special exhibition "Tsugaru Vidro Cherry Blossom World" is currently being held at the gallery space on the 2nd floor of the Takumikan in the Fujita Memorial Garden (Kamishiroganecho, Hirosaki City).

"Tsugaru Vidro" manufactured and sold by Hokuyo Glass (Aomori City) is a one-of-a-kind handmade product by craftsmen who has been designated as a traditional craft of Aomori Prefecture. It is characterized by being manufactured by "air blowing" that creates a shape in the air, and no single pattern is painted with colored glass.

When it was first created as a product, there were many glass works for large interiors such as vases and large bowls, but in recent years it has been involved in tableware and accessories. We have developed a series with the theme of the four seasons of Aomori such as "Nebuta Festival", "Hirosaki Sakura", "Tsugaru Snowscape", and "Towada Autumn Leaves". 200 items will be exhibited and sold.

This is the first business trip sale of a directly managed shop in Hirosaki. In addition to selling limited-edition bean dishes at the venue, there will also be an exhibition of valuable existing works produced by Kaoru Okawa, who has been a glass craftsman at the company for over 50 years. Floating balls and glass plates installed at hotels in the prefecture will also be exhibited.
