The heart-shaped plate near the hidden spot "Sakura no Heart" in Hirosaki Park was renewed on May 2nd.

"Sakura Heart" is a spot where the branches of a cherry tree are combined in a heart shape in the sky. Hirosaki City, which manages the park, has not disclosed the location, but a heart-shaped plate has been set up nearby as a landmark, and wooden scaffolding has been prepared as a stepping stone for viewing.

According to Ms. Makiko Hashiba, Hirosaki City Park and Greenery Division, "Sakura no Heart" was an initiative that started in the summer of 2015 and was discovered by chance. "Every year, I pruning and shaping it a little, but the place where I give instructions is a wooden scaffold, and I'm 158 cm tall and I'm trimming it so that it can be seen in my heart," says Hashiba.

About 10 heart-shaped plates have been destroyed in the past, and each time the workers in the department repaired or renewed them with tape. The plate repaired this time was made by Ms. Michiko Fujimori and Ms. Sachi Koyamauchi, who drew cherry blossom petals in a pink heart and made it by hand.

Mr. Hashiba said, "The heart shape can be enjoyed all year round with cherry blossoms in spring, fresh green in summer, and autumn leaves in autumn. Please take a walk in the park to find a place and be careful of your feet. Break your heart. Please be careful not to let it go. "
