"Aomori Color Exhibition" by artist Saito PaPiCO, who lives in Tsuruta Town, Aomori Prefecture, was held on April 17th at the cafe "ska vi fika?" (Shimizu, Hirosaki City).

The exhibition that exhibits and sells Saito's dot art and terra art. Saito is a former childcare worker and has been active as an artist "Saito PaPico" since 2016 (Heisei 28). Healing art and dot art based on Aboriginal art are created and transmitted mainly on SNS. We are planning to exhibit at an art festival in Paris, France in October this year.

According to Saito, the collaboration of the works was with painters and photographers, but it was the first time for a cafe. Scavifika's owner, Yuki Shimoyama, visited the solo exhibition held in November last year, and when Saito visited the store, the atmosphere inside the store and the menu using "butterfly pea" were created by himself. It is said that the collaboration was reached because it matched the image.

Mr. Shimoyama says, "Saito's illustrations are attractive because they can create a nice space. It's strange that even if you don't understand art in detail, you might like it."

During the period, "Scavifika" will offer two types of "blue forest color tea" using butterfly pea (Clitoria ternatea). Matcha soymilk and kiwi (700 yen or more) each come with an original postcard written by Saito in the image of butterflies and twins.

Saito says, "I would like to hold Aomori color exhibitions in various places in the future to convey the charm of Aomori where I was born and raised." Since she is a mother of three children, she said, "I especially want the mothers who support the family to see me and get well. If my mother gets well, everyone around me will be brighter."

The holding time is from 11:00 to 17:00. Closed on Fridays. free entrance. Until the 24th of this month.
