The Aomori-Hirakawa City Tourism Association is currently developing an online tourism project, "Mitemi Hirakawa."

Since the spread of the new coronavirus has made it difficult to travel to the area, we planned to have people experience sightseeing online. On November 22, a guided tour of Seibi-en (Saruka Ishibayashi, Hirakawa City) and a harvest experience at an apple plantation were distributed online.

In the guided tour of Seibi-en, after delivering a tour of the Japanese garden and the Western-style building, which is a nationally designated scenic spot, a virtual mystery solving program "Big Secret of a Small Garden" was held. The program was a one-day event before the museum closed in winter, with the content that participants would solve the mystery hidden in the park online.

In the harvesting experience, under the title of "Online remote control apple harvesting experience", Mr. Kazuto Imai of Imai Farm (Machii Yamamoto) introduced how to distinguish and grow delicious apples, and in the harvesting experience, participants picked up the apples they wanted to harvest. I gave instructions remotely and delivered a picture of Mr. Imai harvesting. The harvested apples will be shipped to the participants at a later date.

Kenji Tatami, who planned the event, said, "There were participants from Chiba, Kanagawa, and Tokyo who wanted to be able to harvest remotely. After actually experiencing it, children, including parents, wanted to go to Aomori and Hirakawa. I was glad that he answered. I think it was an opportunity to go to see him after Corona was over, "he smiles.

On December 20th, entitled "Online SERI", you will experience the auction of Hirakawa's specialty products. The "Neputa Festival Experience / Workshop" will be held online on January 17th next year. Applications will be accepted on the official website of "Mitemi Hirakawa".
