"Aeon Cinema Shin-Aomori" (Miyoshi, Aomori City) will open on March 20th on the site of the former "Aomori Corona Cinema World."

This is Aeon Cinema's second store in Aomori Prefecture and 96th store nationwide. It will open in the Gala Town Annex Building, a commercial facility that used to house Aomori Corona Cinema World. It will have eight screens and 1,020 seats, including space for wheelchairs, and all seats will have independent seats with armrests.

Upon opening, the size of all screens will be increased by up to 1.2 times, and a self-ordering system will be adopted where popcorn and drinks can be ordered using installed touch panel terminals. It also supports ticketless entry, where you can enter using your smartphone without having to issue a ticket.

To commemorate the opening, an original drink called ``Flavored Soda Aomori Apple'' (500 yen) made with apple juice from Aomori Prefecture will be sold at AEON Cinemas nationwide.

A spokesperson for Aeon Entertainment said, ``As a hometown theater, we would like to screen a wide range of content, not just new movies, and work in conjunction with the local community to foster culture.''
