"The 83rd Cinema Dict Yose Takigawa Koihachi Solo Show" will be held on February 4th at the movie theater "Cinema Dict" (Furukawa, Aomori City, TEL 017-722-2068 ).

The event is sponsored by HIMOROGI Akita Special Selection Rakugo Society (Representative: Kenki Nikkei), which holds music, film, and rakugo events in Akita. Tatsuhiko Hasegawa, who is in charge of the rakugo department, used to go to Cinema Dict to watch movies, which led him to plan the event for the first time in 2006 (Heisei 18). It has been held regularly until now.

Hasegawa said, ``Cinema Dict is my favorite movie theater that I go to every month.I thought the number of seats, layout, and sound would be perfect for rakugo, so I asked the owner, Keiichi Tanida, about holding a rakugo show, and he readily agreed.I am still fully committed to the theater. We are getting cooperation from them."

Guest Koihachi Takigawa will appear for the first time in four years. He specializes in creating new rakugo stories created by the rakugo performers themselves, and was promoted to shinuchi in May 2020. Mr. Hasegawa said, ``Koihachi is one of the young and energetic people.I think there are many people who remember his last performance on stage.This is his first real yose performance after becoming a true performer.I was long in coming to make an offer.'' and talk. The show's start time was set for the first time at 4:00 p.m., instead of the usual 6:30 p.m., in response to feedback from customers who arrive by train and other means.

Hasegawa says, ``There are an increasing number of interesting young people presenting new rakugo.Whether you're a fan of classic rakugo or you've never heard of rakugo before, I hope you can come and feel at ease and feel like you're watching a movie.''

Doors open at 15:30, performance starts at 16:00. All seats are free, advance purchase = 3,000 yen, same day = 3,500 yen. It will be sold at Narita Main Store, Sunroad Aomori, and Cinema Dict. Advance reservations are accepted by phone and email.
