The music bar "Umi to Hikari" (TEL 017-752-1280 ) opened on January 18th on the 14th floor of the Aomori Prefecture Tourist and Product Center ASPAM (Aomori City Yasukata).

The store's concept is to "connect travelers with Aomori." The store opened in the former restaurant that was open until August 2019. The donut-shaped interior is divided into four areas with a 360-degree view, and serves local Aomori sake, raw cider, and dishes made mainly with local ingredients.

The store area is 60 tsubo. The four areas are ``Water'', ``Wind'', ``Earth'', and ``Fire''. "Water" is on the sea side and is a free seating area. ``Kaze'' is a box sofa seat surrounded by shades designed by Nebuta master Hiro Takenami. ``Ji'' is 5 semi-private sofa seats facing the city. "Tuesday" has a bar counter and a DJ booth.

Koichi Nakamura, president of Clock Up, the company that operates the bar, said, ``We want to create a place where tourists can easily drop by.Aspam is a bar located in a public facility, so it's easy for tourists to drop by and enjoy Aomori at night.'' I hope I can get it.” ``I was excited to be able to open a store in Aspam, which is the tallest building in Aomori Prefecture.''

Drinks include draft beer (800 yen), craft beer (1,200 yen), cider (1,000 yen), local sake such as Densake and Hassen (900 yen), as well as non-alcoholic drinks. Food options include assorted hors d'oeuvre plates (5,500 yen), fish and chips (1,400 yen), and caprese (1,800 yen). Dessert menus such as chocolate plates and apple pies are also available.

Customers pay 2,000 yen for drinks in advance when they arrive. There is a 2,000 yen charge fee when using the ``Kaze'' and ``Ji'' seats. The ``Impagi Present'' (1,000 yen) is a system where customers serve one drink to each other, and when you order, you can offer a drink to someone in the store. ``I hope this will be an opportunity for locals and travelers to enjoy once-in-a-lifetime encounters,'' said Nakamura.

The same tenant previously rotated as a "rotating restaurant," but it can no longer rotate. Mr. Nakamura expressed his enthusiasm, saying, ``Because we can't rotate, we were able to divide the area into four areas and make the most of their unique characteristics. We hope we can develop the project to take advantage of the locations.''

Business hours are from 18:00 to 22:00. Closed on Sundays and Mondays.
