Sanzeji Onsen (Sanzeji Onsen, Hirosaki City, TEL 0172-95-2662 ) resumed public bath operations on December 15th.

The facility was founded in 1986 and was used mainly by local residents for nearly 40 years. The facility closed at the end of February this year due to aging facilities and other reasons, but the general incorporated foundation, Seimeikai Research Institute for Medical Care and Training, has taken over the management and has decided to restart the facility.

The corporation had been planning to renovate Sanseiji Onsen, which also has accommodation facilities, as a medical treatment facility, and had been making preparations since June, but decided that repairs would take even more time. Even during construction, there were many requests from local residents for the restoration of public baths, so they decided to open the public baths first.

The bath facilities have been completely renovated, with new tiles, new partitions in the washing area, expansion of the sauna room, and new additions to the exterior walls and front lobby. The tags on the ticket vending machines and the lion spout in the public bath will remain as they were before the renovation, and the water flowing directly from the source will continue.

Currently, only public baths are open, but family baths will open from December 23rd. There are four family baths, each with a toilet and changing room, as well as a 6-tatami-mat resting space. Reservations are required for the family bath by phone only, and business hours are 8:00 to 21:00. The fee is 1 hour = 1,500 yen.

Executive Director Makoto Yanagitani expressed his enthusiasm, saying, ``We want to continue renovating the facility and utilize Sanseji Onsen in various ways.''

Business hours are from 6:00 to 22:00. The price is 480 yen for adults, 170 yen for teenagers (under 12 years old), and 80 yen for children (under 6 years old). Closed on the 3rd Thursday of every month.
