The bookstore ``Narita Main Store Shinmachi Store'' (Shinmachi, Aomori City, TEL 017-723-2431 ) on Shinmachi Street was renovated on December 9th.

The store is affectionately known as "Narihon" by Aomori residents. In this renovation, the stationery corner was moved from the third floor to the first floor, the sales area for light novels and business books was also changed, and the shelves on the second floor were rearranged to create a more open layout.

The store, which celebrates its 115th anniversary this year, is a cultural information base and community-based bookstore that has repeatedly undergone renewal and product reviews. He has also sold musical instruments and sheet music.

Sadahiro Mikami, manager of the branch office, said, ``The major change was moving the stationery department.Although there is an elevator, we heard from customers that it was difficult to go to the third floor to make purchases, so we decided to move the stationery department to the first floor. I made it easy."

The first and second floors will be used as the main floors, and the third and fourth floors will be used as event galleries. Diary and notebook products are currently on sale on the third floor. Calendars will be on sale on the fourth floor until mid-January next year. "We will continue to use it as an event space for autograph sessions, special events, and other events," said Mikami.

The discount sale of magazine back issues that began in August of this year will continue. We will continue to offer monthly student card benefits.
