The printing company ``Toppan Media'' (Kanda, Hirosaki City) will be selling the calendar ``Colors of Tsugaru'' on November 3rd.

This product is themed around Tsugaru's traditional crafts such as Tsugaru Koginzashi and Tsugaru Vidro, as well as Neputa. ``Tsugaru Colors'' was selected as the gold prize in the calendar/poster category of the 2022 printing contest ``Subrima Plus Contest 2022-2023''.

Hiroshi Mikami of the company's sales department says, ``Our company had been creating a calendar to distribute to our business partners every year, but we decided to sell it so that as many people as possible could pick it up.'' This is the company's first time selling calendars.

The photos were taken by photographer Hiroshi Yagihashi of Hiroshi Yagihashi Advertising Photo Studio (Takada, Hirosaki City). The calendar the company was creating for distribution also used Yagihashi's photo. The six photos in ``Tsugaru Colors'' include ``Kogin-zashi'', ``Tsugaru Vidro'', ``Tsugaru Kanayama-yaki'', ``Neputa'', ``Bunako'', and ``Tsugaru-nuri''. The printing is a high-definition finish using sensitive UV ink, and the B2 variant size (730 mm in height and 510 mm in width).

Mr. Mikami said, ``This calendar is themed around ``objects'' that people can be proud of in Tsugaru. It's a confident work that you can display in your room as an art piece even after the year is over. It's not only for your home, but also as a souvenir. I wish they would choose me," he says.

The price is 1,000 yen. It will be sold at bookstores and souvenir shops in Aomori Prefecture.
