``Imo Festival'' will be held on October 28th and 29th at the Aomori Prefectural Tourism and Product Center ASPAM (Yasukata, Aomori City). Sponsored by Sannozukisha.

This year marks the fourth time this event has been held. On the day of the event, 30 stores from inside and outside of Aomori Prefecture will be opening their stalls, selling handmade goods such as roasted sweet potatoes, sweets made from sweet potatoes, and kogin-zashi with potato motifs. Ayumi Sanyoshi, an event staff member, said, ``It's going to be two days filled with potatoes.''

At the venue, food trucks are lined up at the front entrance of ASPAM, and shops are lined up from the event hall on the first floor to the parking lot on the west side. Of the 30 stores, 5 are opening for the first time. Popular stores such as ``Yoshii no Oimoyasan'' (Nagano Prefecture) and ``Yakiimo Dokoro DoCo? Nibankan'' (Yamagata Prefecture) sell items such as potato milk tea and sweets made from sweet potatoes and raw okara. A store will also be opened.

Capsule toys of the event's mascot character ``Imonyan'' and original character ``Yakitate Sentai! Imolanger'' can badges (6 types in total) will be set up at the venue. The price is 200 yen.

Sanyoko says, ``This lineup is one that you won't want to miss at any of our stores.We hope you'll come and enjoy the taste of autumn: potatoes.''

The event is held from 10:00 to 16:00. free entrance.
