A regular performance of the ``Aomori Museum of Art Drama Reading Club'' will be held on October 28th and 29th at the Aomori Museum of Art Theater (Yasuda, Aomori City).

This time, it will be performed as a related project to the special exhibition ``Yoshitomo Nara: The Beginning Place From Here'' that is being held at the Aomori Museum of Art from October 14th. Based on Nara's picture book ``The Dog My Friend Wants'', Tsukasa Shimizu, a playwright and representative of the theater company ``SOUTHERN COMFORT'' based in Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture, will create an original script, compose, and direct the play.

Regarding the performance, Shimizu says, ``The theme is connections between people.I hope to be able to express the various smiles that come from the joy of connections and bonds in various situations.''

Drama reading is a theatrical performance in which a literary work or original play is read aloud, accompanied by images, lighting, and music. The Aomori Prefectural Museum of Art Drama Reading Club was established in 2009 (Heisei 21) for the purpose of utilizing the museum's theater and creating projects that involve the participation of Aomori residents. Currently, 20 members have been working together with Mr. Shimizu, who has been in charge of producing the club since last year.

Sakura Mori, who has been a member of the club for about five years, said, ``This performance will consist of five parts, including the original work, and I will be in charge of the original part.If there is an original work, we will respect the original work. We are trying to convey the message without disrupting the atmosphere. We hope that even people who have never seen a play or drama reading can feel free to come and watch it.''

Doors open at 1:30 p.m., performance begins at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are reserved for all seats, 1,300 yen for adults, 800 yen for high school students and younger (advance sales only). Sales reservations can be made to "Confetti" online and by phone (TEL 0120-240-540 , reception hours: 10:00-18:00 on weekdays).
