Two projections will be held at the Hirosaki Castle Snow Lantern Festival to be held from February 11th in Hirosaki Park (Shimohiragincho, Hirosaki City).

"Ishigaki Multi-Projection" projects a video onto the Honmaru Ishigaki, which is 140 meters wide and 10 meters high, located in the inner moat where the castle tower was pulled by the Hirosaki Castle Honmaru Ishigaki repair. Seven projectors are used for projection, and one side will be a screen with a width of 14 meters and a height of 8 meters.

Each video is about introducing Hirosaki. "The Century of Hirosaki Castle" introduces the 100 years of Hirosaki Castle using old photographs and the four seasons. "Soumon" is introduced in western town halls, festivals, and photos of people. It is "Hirosaki Hyakukei" which is introduced in the scenery of Iwaki area and Soma area. It is said that it will also include time-lapse footage of the Hikiya.

The snow image projection mapping is projected onto the snow image of Hirosaki Castle, which is 9 meters high and is created in the recreation square. The video production is performed by the citizen group “Payarabo” centered on Kaoru Kasai, an office worker who lives in the city. The group has been performing projection mapping on snow statues five years ago, and said, "This time, we are expressing Tsugaru that interwoven the long history of Hirosaki Castle."

From 18:25 on the 14th, Hitoshi Terao, the leader of the singer group "human note" of 700 people mainly in Kansai, will perform a special live performance together with projection mapping. At the event held in Osaka last December, he also co-starred in the projection mapping exhibited by Mr. Kasai.

The projection of "Ishigaki Multi-Projection" is performed every 30 minutes from 18:00 on the 13th and 14th, and the final is 20:30. The video program will screen "Hirosaki Castle Century", "Hirosaki Soumon" and "Hirosaki Hyakukei" in order. The snow image projection mapping is projected every 30 minutes from 18:15 on 11th to 14th, and the final projection is at 20:45. The Hirosaki Castle Snow Lantern Festival is open until February 14.
