``Tototo'' (Jotohoku, Hirosaki City), a shop that sells prepared dishes and bento boxes using seafood, opened on September 13th.

This store opened as a group restaurant of seafood izakaya "Uo Uo Dining Itsuki" (Honmachi) and "Kaiyaki Sakaba Itsuki" (Shinkajicho). The store area is approximately 30 tsubo. A ``fish tank'' has been set up in the store to manage live fish and live shellfish. It also sells frozen foods.

According to Yasuki Ochiai, who runs the three stores, the reason behind the opening of the new business was that the two stores were running out of space to manage and store the live fish and shellfish they serve. After finding a property where they could install 3-meter and 1.5-meter cages, they decided to open a store. We aim to be a place where local people can gather and have fun shopping.

Mainly oysters from the fish tank, but live shellfish such as clams and turban shells are ordered from all over the country. Mr. Ochiai directly contacts fishermen from all over the country he is interested in and negotiates with them to purchase the fish. ``Our strength is that we purchase shellfish and other things that are not available in Hirosaki,'' says Ochiai.

The store also has a space to sell local vegetables and other items, and is looking for producers who are interested in selling vegetables.

The product lineup includes takeout items such as "Grilled Fish Bento", "Hamburger Bento", and "Chicken Teriyaki Bowl" (600 yen or more), Kaisendon (1,000 yen), Sushi (5 pieces, 650 yen), and "Noodles". Frozen ramen ``Shellfish Dashi Shio Soba'' (1,000 yen) created in collaboration with ``Yaiyabi'' (Fujisaki Town), and ``Original Curry'' (800 yen) supervised by ``Niboshi Keisha'' (Motodera Town) will also be sold. .

Mr. Ochiai said, ``For me, there are many new industries that I would like to try.I want people to come here casually and not only enjoy shopping, but also enjoy the fish in the aquarium and the fishing pond using the fish tank.'' I want to make it a great store,” he says with a smile.

Business hours are 10:00 to 19:00. Closed on Wednesdays.
