Cafe "LIEN" (Momozawa, Hirosaki City) will open on September 24th inside the Odagiri Farm Direct Sales Office at the foot of Mt. Iwaki.

``Lian'', which was open in Kikyono until May 2023, has relocated and opened. ``Lian'' was a reservation-only private cafe that mainly offered deli food. The owner, Miyuki Saito, is a farmer of branded corn, Dakekimi Corn , and opened the business in 2018 after receiving requests and consultations about preparing bento lunches, and also because he had finished raising his children.

The new location is a garage with an area of approximately 24 tsubo. A cooking area is built in a corner of the garage, and the garage can be used freely as a free space to store camping equipment and outdoor goods. Saito says, ``My original goal was to run a cafe at Dakekimi Corn 's direct sales store.By relocating, I was finally able to make my dream come true.''

According to Mr. Saito, he was particular about the layout of the kitchen. Old miscellaneous goods and Koginzashi interior decorations are installed. Mr. Saito says with a smile, ``As an amateur, I made a lot of things, so the details were a little rough, but on the other hand, it turned out to be very tasteful.''

The menu is basically takeout only. Dakekimi Corn soup, cold brew iced coffee, non-alcoholic mojitos (350 yen or more), 100% Hirosaki apple juice (300 yen), etc. Apple pie (350 yen) and sweets will also be available, and bento boxes (1,200 yen) will be available with advance reservations. ``We don't intend to stick to a fixed menu, but change it depending on the season and what's in stock that day,'' says Saito.

As an opening event, a workshop by Koginzashi artist Yoko Sato will be held on September 24th and 25th. You can participate in the workshop without making a reservation, and you can sew original tapestries and Kogin trees. On the day of the event, snacks such as sandwiches from the ethnic restaurant "Jainic" (Kikyouno) will also be on sale.

Mr. Saito said, ``The area around Mt. Iwaki has many attractions such as hot springs and outdoor activities. We want you to feel free to stop by on your own or while driving. We want to create a store that makes people think, ``Today was fun.'' ” he said enthusiastically.

Business hours are 10:00 to 15:00. Regular holidays will be announced on SNS. Closed during winter (depending on snowfall).
