Atsuko Mikami, who lives in the Soma area of Hirosaki, is currently recruiting adopters for her fish farm.

The fish farm was built by Atsuko's husband, Akio, who passed away in February of this year. Atsuko said, "My husband passed away, and there's no one to take care of it. Now I have friends take care of it, but I can't ask them to do it forever."

Akio says he acquired land about 20 years ago and started developing it as a fish farm. After retiring from work, Akio, whose main occupation was painting and whose hobby was fishing, thought about farming fish and managing fishing ponds in earnest, but left this world halfway through his dreams.

The site area is 1343 square meters. It draws ground water and is equipped with three circular aquariums with a diameter of 9 meters, one rectangular aquarium, and two huts. According to Atsuko, one of the huts has a damaged roof due to a leak, but the other hut is less damaged and has electricity.

Atsuko said, "Since I got sick, I haven't been able to ask my husband about the fish farm. I regret that I should have asked him properly. "I decided to do so after seeing it come out. If anyone wants to use it, please contact me."

For inquiries, please contact Takaho Yamazaki (TEL 090-2022-5811 ) of the Soma Shrimp Aquaculture Production Association (Gosho, Hirosaki City).
