At Aomori Nebuta Festival, "Ogapon & Pikachu Mae Nebuta" in collaboration with "Pokémon" will take the field.

This is the first Nebuta for Pokemon, and it will be a collaboration to commemorate the release of the Nintendo Switch software "Pocket Monster Scarlet Violet Zero's Treasure". Operates as the front nebuta of the "JR Nebuta Implementation Project". Mae Nebuta is a small nebuta that runs in front of the large nebuta.

The Nebuta are lined with Pikachu and Ogapon, a type of legendary Pokémon that appears in the series. Shigeki Tezuka, a Nebuta master who belongs to Hiroo Takenami Nebuta Research Institute, who was in charge of the production, said, "I put a lot of effort into expressing the nebuta in three dimensions. I would be happy if the fans would be happy."

Before the operation, which was exhibited around the Nebuta huts, there were mainly children taking pictures of the "Pokemon" Nebuta, and among them there were many visitors from overseas. A woman in her 30s who was taking pictures of the "Pokémon" Nebuta with her child said with a smile, "I came all the way from Tokyo to see the Nebuta, and my child is delighted with Pikachu. I'm also looking forward to seeing it in operation."

It runs for 4 days from August 3rd to 6th.
