On July 8, Aomori's liquor store "Tsujimura Saketen" (Aoyagi, Aomori City, TEL 017-763-0288 ) introduced a "sake server" for sampling and selling sake by weight.

This store handles more than 100 brands of sake from all over Japan, as well as local sake. A long-established store that has been around since 1906 (Meiji 39), it moved to its current location in 2020. Dai Tsujimura, the fourth-generation owner, runs the restaurant.

The "sake server" where you can taste and sell by weight sells 30ml of sake for 100 yen. You can taste it in the store or take it home. We sell empty bottles (100 yen) for sale by weight, but you can bring your own containers. They sell six types of sake, and the brand will change as soon as they run out.

Mr. Tsujimura says, "There are some people who have a high hurdle to buying sake because they don't know the taste or don't want to make mistakes, so our aim is to make it easy for them to buy it."

It is said that there are customers who have already taken all six types of sake home or tasted them on the spot. Mr. Tsujimura says with a smile, "I introduced it to create an opportunity for people to come to our store. I hope it will be an opportunity to encounter new sake."

Business hours are from 10:00 to 19:00 (until 18:00 on Sundays). Closed on Mondays.
