Hirosaki's vocal unit "Rice Ball" will release the single CD "Relay/Boku wa Dotemachi Clock Tower/Rainbow" on July 12th.

Formed in 2015 (Heisei 27), Rice Ball is active with the concept of supporting farmers and reviewing the connection with families through food. The current members are Hikari, Akua, and Midori.

The CD, which is the 5th single, contains 3 songs that convey Tsugaru's tourism resources from different approaches. The title song "Relay" is the image song for Shirakami-Sanchi, which marks the 30th anniversary of its registration as a World Natural Heritage site this year. Shinya Tada, a music writer living in Hirosaki, was in charge of composing and writing the lyrics for the three songs.

Along with the release of the new song, the music video that was pre-released on YouTube on July 1 has been viewed 100,000 times in the eight days since its release. The shooting location is around the dark gate area of Nishimeya. Drone photography conveys the charm of Shirakami-Sanchi in all four seasons. Reactions from viewers included, "It's so moving that it gives me goosebumps" and "It's a wonderful project that expresses the beauty and strength of the magnificent nature of the Shirakami Mountains, which nurtures life, as it is in music and video." We have received comments from overseas as well.

Creative director Tsubasa Shimoda said, "We started shooting last autumn and were able to convey the majestic nature of the Shirakami Mountains, which changes depending on the season and the climate. We shot this while the scars of the heavy rain disaster that occurred in August last year remain. I would like to thank everyone involved for their cooperation,” he said.

Taiyo, who was born in Nishimeya, where Shirakami Sanchi is located, said, "I never thought that the village I live in would turn out to be such a wonderful video. I would be happy if people actually visit Shirakami-Sanchi after seeing it,” he said with a smile.

    The price is 1,320 yen.
