The pastry shop "Grand Merci" (Noda, Hirosaki City, TEL 0172-35-9894 ) will open on July 1st, changing its name from "Angelique Hirosaki".

Angelic was founded in 2000 by former president Yasuhiko Ichinohe. We have sold popular products such as apple pies, cream puffs, and donuts. The change in store name does not change the products or services, but the logo and staff uniforms will be changed.

According to the current owner, Mr. Koki Narita, he took over the management from the former president in 2018, and the management company had already changed to Mr. Narita's "Grand Merci".

After graduating from high school, Mr. Narita, who got a job at Angelique, worked as a pastry chef and gained experience. He had a dream of owning his own cake shop, and recalls that 2018, when he was 26 years old, was a turning point when the former president asked him to take over the management. Although he was worried about whether he could do it himself, he decided to take over.

Mr. Narita explains, "Since then, I've been managing the store, so there's not much to change with this store name change, and it's just a combination of the operating company and the store name."

Narita says that Grand Merci means "great gratitude" in French. "I am who I am today because of the people around me. The former president taught me 'modesty' the most." I want to take care of the region and my hometown, so as a pastry shop, I want to do something to give back to Hirosaki.”

Until July 3rd, as an opening event, only 2,000 sets will be available, and customers who purchase over 2,000 yen will receive baked sweets worth 500 yen. A limited edition crispy chocolate shoe (270 yen) is also available. Raw butter dorayaki will be sold at a discount of 320 yen, and momo rolls will be sold at a discount of 750 yen.

Business hours are from 9:30 to 18:00. Closed on Tuesdays.
