On July 2nd, the second-hand clothes sales event "Aomori second-hand clothes market vol.3" will be held at "America-ya Hirosaki Joto store" (Takada, Hirosaki city).

The second-hand clothes market held in Aomori in December last year and February this year will be held in Hirosaki. In addition to 10 used clothing stores and specialty embroidery shops from Aomori, Hirosaki, and Morioka, 3 restaurants will open in the venue parking lot. Junya Wakayama, representative of the organizer Aomori Fashion Snap, said, "We narrowed down to young shop owners and chose shops that had been open for less than three years."

According to Mr. Wakayama, when he was looking for a place to host the next event, he met Yuya Shimizu, a former area manager and innovation manager who works at America-ya Hirosaki Joto store. "The person I was interested in on SNS was Mr. Shimizu, and when I went to see him without making an appointment, we hit it off even though it was the first time we met, and we were able to use the store as an event venue." Mr. Wakayama.

Shimizu has been working as the manager of the store for about five years. Since last year, we have been planning a collaboration event with local artists, and in May this year, we held a craft event in the store. Mr. Shimizu said, ``I heard that many artists said that there was no place to sell their works, so I decided to use our store as a venue. I did,” he says.

On the day of the event, a part of the second floor of the same store will be the venue. In addition to 5 shops from Aomori and 3 from Hirosaki, Morioka's "Retro Boutique Kotori", which is a popular second-hand clothing store, was opened as a guest through interaction with "Air" (Morioka City). . The food booth sells coffee, homemade ginger ale, takoyaki, and more.

Mr. Wakayama says with a smile, "It's rare in Aomori Prefecture to hold an event focused on second-hand clothes, so I'm glad we were able to hold it in Hirosaki." Shimizu says, "There are more and more opportunities to buy second-hand clothes online, but I want people to actually touch and try on second-hand clothes and enjoy shopping while receiving customer service."

The event is held from 10:00 to 16:00. free entrance.
