The coffee specialty store "YADORIGI COFFEE ROASTERS" (Shinagawa-cho, Hirosaki City, TEL 0172-78-3376 ) opened on June 18th.

This shop sells hand-drip take-out coffee and home-roasted coffee beans. Mr. Masatoshi Sakurada, a coffee lover who quit his job as a company employee in June last year and became independent, serves as the owner.

“I used to only drink canned coffee, but I was so moved by the deliciousness of the hand-dripped coffee my wife made that I started making coffee myself,” says Sakurada. After that, he was not satisfied with just hand dripping, and became particular about roasting and coffee beans.

“The name of the shop comes from the flower language of mistletoe, which has words such as ‘patience’ and ‘overcoming difficulties,’” says Sakurada. There is only a counter in the store, and roasting is done in the back of the store. Mr. Sakurada says with a smile, "I only had a tiled wall in mind, so I asked them to make it in front of me. I wanted to have my own store someday, so I can only thank the people who were involved in opening the store." show

The menu is only hand drip coffee (hot = 400 yen, iced = 430 yen). Hot is 250ml or more and ice is 350ml or more. “A lot more than regular coffee,” said Mr. Sakurada. For coffee beans, "Mistletoe Blend" (200 grams = 1,200 yen), single origins such as Brazil and Indonesia (200 grams = 1,300 yen ~), and drip bags (140 yen ~) are also available.

Mr. Sakurada confidently said, "I kept the price down so that you can drink coffee casually. I was able to set the price because I was working alone." "I'm still nervous because it's just started, and there are some things I'm not used to, but I want to make a shop where many people can drink hand-drip coffee," he said.
