On May 28th, a regular bakery shop "Bo Panya" opened on the premises of the coffee shop "Asamushi Corridor" (7 Hotarudani Asamushi, Aomori City).

This store regularly sells Aomori's local food "Boupan". The owner, Sarasa, is a big fan of stick bread, and opened her own stick bread shop that is open regularly. “I opened this shop because I wanted more people to experience the fun of stick bread,” says Sarasa.

Stick bread is a local food that allows you to experience “baking yourself” by wrapping bread dough around a bamboo stick and holding it over a charcoal fire. There are many shops in Aomori City that serve as hands-on corners for events and school events, and Sarasa said that he often went there since he was in kindergarten.

About the origin of the store name: ``There was a person who called a person who enjoys stick bread a 'stick panner,' and a person who masters stick bread a 'stick panist.' , So that the charm and softness of stick bread can be conveyed, 'meow' was changed to hiragana and changed to 'stick panya~'," says Sarasa.

The bread sticks come in regular size (200 yen), large size (300 yen), and mini size (3 sticks set for 300 yen). For toppings, prepare strawberry jam, marmalade jam, chocolate sauce, and margarine. Ms. Sarasa said about the reason for the size development, "When I saw the participants of the parent and child, the child who started wanting to bake would get bored halfway through, and in the end, the mother would bake. The baking time is shortened. We also prepared a mini-sized set so that it would be easy to handle multiple books.”

Elementary school students visiting from the center of Aomori ate the regular size and then grilled the mini size as well. "At first I used chocolate sauce, but next time I want to try a different flavor," he says with a smile as he looks at the four different toppings.

Sarasa says with a smile, "Boupan is a simple dish that can be made just by baking it. It's delicious, and there's a lot more to it when you bake it with particular attention.

Future events will be held from 11:00 to 15:30 on June 3rd, 17th and 25th. The store opening schedule after July will be announced on SNS.
