The craft fair “Tsugaru Mori Tsugaru Mori 2020 Plus” will be held on May 27th and 28th at Mt. Iwaki Sakurarin Park (Homozawa, Hirosaki City).

This event has been held at Mt. Iwaki every early summer since 2013 as a large-scale event in Aomori Prefecture. Since 2020, the event has been postponed as a measure to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, but this year will be the first time in four years. 94 "creators (writers)" who were scheduled to participate in 2020 and 21 restaurants will gather from all over the country.

Hitoshi Soma, representative of the executive committee, said, "We continued to struggle with dealing with an unknown virus. We decided to hold the event early this year, and it was supposed to be held in 2020. We put the people who were planning to exhibit at Mori first, so we didn't recruit new exhibitors, and decided to name the event '2020+'."

This year, admission will be restricted in order to alleviate traffic congestion in the surrounding area. A detour route from the Higashimeya area is recommended to the venue, and the use of public transportation such as buses is recommended. Mr. Soma said, "Congestion is expected from 9:00 to 13:00 according to the usual trend. Please remember to apply the parking brake when parking."
