On November 7th and 8th, at the Fujita Memorial Garden (Kamihiragincho, Hirosaki City), a cosplay event "Hirosaki Hikara Garden" was held with the theme of Taisho romance and costume.

This garden is a villa housed by Kenichi Fujita (1873-1946), a businessman from Hirosaki City who was the first president of the Japan Chamber of Commerce, and has a total area of 21,800 square meters. It boasts the second largest Edo-style garden in the Tohoku region. It is equipped with a two-story Western-style building with wooden mortar, a Japanese-style building with a one-story building, and a tea ceremony room.

According to the Fujita Memorial Garden Utilization Executive Committee, which sponsors the event, in recent years, the conference space on the second floor of the Western-style building (charged) has been frequently used by cosplay enthusiasts. It was said to have triggered an event.

At the venue on the first day, more than 250 men and women of all ages, dressed in Japanese and Western clothes that make you feel Taisho romance, gather. Fifty children from kindergartens and preschools in the city also dressed in gorgeous fancy dress costumes and made a balloon release at the opening ceremony with Mayor Noriyuki Kasai, who wore a frock coat.

Miyuki Kawasaki, Maho Tsushima, and Erina Tsunoda, who participated from Aomori City and Homoda Village, recreated the schoolgirl style of the Taisho era in their boots. "I was interested in kimono, but I never had the opportunity to wear it. I am happy to be able to showcase it in such a special place."

On that day, Rolls-Royce classic cars and the oldest retro bus in the prefecture owned by Konan Bus gather in front of the garden. There was also a plan where a train rickshaw, Sojiro Okazakiya, who travels in Tokyo, runs along the moat of Hirosaki Park with visitors. A person who rides a rickshaw said, "It's more comfortable and comfortable than I expected. The city was fresh from a different perspective than passenger cars and buses."

The total number of visitors for the two days by the committee is about 5,700. It is said that he will continue to carry out events from next year.
