The apple blossoms on the island of Tsugaru Fujimi Lake in Tsuruta, Aomori are now in full bloom.

The island, where the white flowers of the apple genus "Zumi (Mitsuba Kaido)" bloom, floats on Lake Tsugaru Fujimi. Tsugaru Fujimi Lake is a man-made lake with an area of 281 square kilometers, and is a sightseeing spot with a wooden arch bridge called Tsuru no Mai Bridge. Since the best time to see the flowers was during the Golden Week holidays this year, many of the tourists who visited were in a state of wonder.

A man in his 40s who was visiting from Tokyo for sightseeing said, "I wondered what it was because it wasn't on the tourist map." A woman in her 50s said with a smile, "Nowadays, white apple blossoms are blooming everywhere in the Tsugaru region. When I learned that the white flowers on the island are also apples, I was convinced."

Masaaki Takenami, a tour guide for Tsuru-no-mai Bridge, said, "It's a naturally occurring wild apple tree that happens to look like an island. I hope it will become a memory of your trip together with Tsuru-no-mai Bridge."
