Founded in 1913 (Taisho 2), the store is currently run by the fourth-generation owner, Koichi Hirayama, and the third-generation owner, Sozo. In the commemorative project, a ballpoint pen printed with the engraved design of the original fountain pen sold at the time of its establishment will be presented to purchasers of the store's original ink.

Koichi said, "I thought of celebrating the 110th anniversary with a ballpoint pen filled with pink ink to coincide with the Hirosaki Cherry Blossom Festival." The stamp at the time of its founding is "SAKURA HIRAYAMA CO. HIROSAKI" in Roman letters. “The use of romaji still looks fashionable,” says Koichi.

The target original inks include "local original ink" (12 types, 2,000 yen each), "collaboration ink" (30 ml = 1,700 yen, 50 ml = 2,200 yen). According to Mr. Hirayama, he started making local original ink around 2005. “At first, it was pink-gray. It was a combination of the pink of cherry blossoms and the gray of the stone walls of Hirosaki Castle. smile.

Mr. Hirayama says, "We have been valuing customer service for 110 years.
